Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm.

   Our Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!

No Money for Fossil Fuels
Wednesday, September 25, 4 - 6pm
BP at
1604 E Capital Dr, Shorewood

Continued burning of fossil fuels will make this world uninhabitable within a few decades. A nuclear war would make this world uninhabitable in a few minutes. We must end our addiction to fossil fuels and nuclear weapons before it’s too late.

A small number of very large companies profit from fossil fuels and nuclear weapons AND spend millions on lobbying, elections and propaganda to maintain their control over Congress and the White House. But these companies – and their investors – also care about their public image and their reputations. Boycotts, divestment and shaming are very effective tools we can use to pressure the profiteers. It’s been done before and we can do it again!

As our contribution to numerous global calls to action*, the Warheads to Windmills Coalition is targeting 7 of the top nuclear weapons companies and 7 of the top fossil fuel companies during these two weeks: one per day…

Next Wednesday 350 Milwaukee (as part of the
National Week of Action) is sponsoring an action
at the
BP station on
East Capital Dr.

Please join us to make your voice heard and amplify our message.

We'll have signs, or bring your own.

Join us for two hours (4-6pm) or as long as you can.
