Today, on International Red Panda Day, I want to share a few facts about this arboreal species and why they're crucial for the health of our planet.
Happy International Red Panda Day, John!
To celebrate this endangered species, I want to share one of my favorite facts about these arboreal creatures with you.
FACT: Red panda tails provide balance AND warmth.
Red pandas rely on their long, bushy tails for balance as they cross tree branches—quite a helpful tool considering they spend most of their time in trees. And that's not all! During winter, red pandas wrap their tails around their bodies for warmth, blending function with comfort.
