Greg Casar, elected in 2022, is passionate about creating policies that benefit all, and make voting easier.
“When you engage the Latino community, when you show up for working people, when you vote for Latinos and their issues, then they show up and have our backs and vote for us.”
-Greg Casar
In Congress, Casar took action to protect voting rights, by calling for an investigation into voter intimidation and suppression in the state of Texas.
He is also a fierce advocate for workers and led the charge for local protections - even going so far as leading an 8+ hour thirst strike. The strike demanded that OSHA implement a workplace heat standard for workers. A year later, OSHA proposed its first-ever federal heat rule.
