Check out the latest conversation in our series!
Dear John,
In our latest installment of Candid Conversations, I spoke with David Kim – children’s court attorney, social justice activist, and 2024 congressional candidate for California’s 34th District. During our conversation, Kim highlighted the need for the U.S. to take initiative and accurately call out the atrocities happening across Gaza as war crimes, halt arms deals with Israel, and prioritize the human rights of Palestinians as a fundamental responsibility– not an afterthought. He also focused on some of the other major concerns facing Americans’ minds and wallets – housing, food insecurity, insurance, healthcare, among others. Noting that people are “in need of help right now,” Kim touched on his Life Empowering Policies, which include Universal Basic Income and Medicare for All, as a path to providing resources to meet the basic needs of every American and create a foundation of autonomy.
