Hey John, it’s Josh here.
I’m sure you’ve seen the news coverage surrounding my extremist opponent, Mark Robinson.
CNN reported yesterday that they uncovered posts where he had called himself a “black Nazi,” said “Slavery is not bad,” and mocked a woman who said she was raped.
Just as many of you were, I was appalled and outraged by these comments. But here’s the bottom line, John: Mark Robinson is still the GOP nominee, and he’s who we’re up against on Election Day.
We can’t afford to be complacent and take our foot off the gas now. To give our state a future far different than the one my opponent sees, we must join together and make the final stretch count.
Over the next 46 days, we’re going to hit the campaign trail harder than ever to let voters know our vision for a safer, stronger North Carolina where everyone can thrive — no matter where they’re from or who they love or where they pray.
We’re going to knock on doors and make calls.
We’re going to have (sometimes tough) conversations with family and friends.
We’re going to put everything we have into winning this competitive race.
And, ultimately, we’re going to defend North Carolina’s governorship.
The stakes have never been higher, John — and I need you to stand with me until the very end. Can I count on you?
