John,

I am proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in the last two years.

When I ran for Governor in the first place, I ran to make everyday life easier for Maryland families. Seeing my mom raise our family on her own after my dad’s passing, and now raising Mia and James here with Dawn, I know first-hand just how hard families in this state work to get by — and that’s the reason I decided to run for Governor in the first place.

In our last almost two years in office, I’m proud to say we’ve shown that Maryland can do big things for families in our state:

→ We passed the Fair Wage Act, raising the minimum wage and creating an economic cushion for over 150,000 Maryland families .
→ We passed housing legislation to expand affordable housing in our state.
→ We created programs to end child poverty that will lift over 37,000 Maryland children to the next rung of the economic ladder.
→ We signed gun safety laws to protect our communities from gun violence and created the first-ever gun violence prevention center.
→ We just launched the second cohort of Maryland’s Corps and Service Year option. This first-in-the-country program offers a paid year of service for high school graduates.

If you’re ready to join the fight for a stronger Maryland, add a contribution today to support our efforts. With your support, I can keep working to lighten burdens and create opportunity for all Marylanders and their families. [[link removed]]
