Happy Hispanic Heritage Month, folks! 

This month, we come together to honor the invaluable contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across Arizona and the United States. From shaping our culture and history to enriching our daily lives through food, music, and traditions, their impact is deeply woven into our country.

But this month is about more than celebration — it’s also a call to action. Despite their profound influence, our Hispanic and Latino communities are often overlooked and face the threat of dehumanization by Trump and MAGA extremists.

With 62 million Latinos across the nation — and nearly a third of Arizona’s population — Latino voters are essential to shaping the future of our state. This is a community that faces systemic barriers to voting, from disenfranchisement to misinformation, yet their voices are pivotal to ensuring Arizona reflects the values and needs of all its residents.

This month, we need to recommit to fighting back against far-right lies and demonization, while empowering and uplifting Latino communities.
