This summer, we heard how extreme weather is affecting the EDF community across the U.S. — from far-reaching plumes of sickening smoke to withering heat waves to devastating floods. Right now, climate change is making extreme weather more frequent, severe and costly.

Climate change is the fight of our lives. But we haven’t lost the fight yet, John. There’s still time to make a difference for ourselves and future generations. And thanks to the reliable support our Eco Partners provide with their recurring gifts, we can put long-term plans into action, keep critical work moving forward and respond rapidly when needed.

That’s why our Fall Membership Drive goal is to welcome 365 new Eco Partners — one for every day of the year — by our October 17 deadline.

Be one of the first to activate your 2025 membership and provide the steady, reliable funding needed to combat the climate crisis. As an Eco Partner, you’ll also receive invitations to join us for virtual events and exclusive, in-depth reports that showcase the work you make possible.

EDF’s Fall Membership Drive is a chance for you to make twice the difference fighting climate change because if you start a yearly gift, the Robert W. Wilson Charitable Trust will match your support $1 for $1, doubling your impact for the next year!

Thanks to your support and commitment to our work, we are taking on climate deniers and big polluters. Your membership gift will go to work at once to:

  • Put long-term plans into action by slashing methane pollution from oil and gas production and agriculture. And with MethaneSAT already in orbit, we’ll use that data to hold polluters accountable globally.
  • Keep critical work moving forward by incentivizing ways to preserve and protect nature — oceans, forests, wetlands and other essential ecosystems — to capture and store carbon.
  • Respond rapidly when needed so we can mitigate the worst effects of climate change by reducing the greatest amount of climate pollution in the shortest time.

John, your top priorities are our top priorities — from fighting climate change and restoring our oceans, to protecting our ecosystems and safeguarding our air, water, health and more. This critical work depends on caring people like you — so please, activate your 2025 membership today.

The time to create the kind of world, and the kind of future, that we want is NOW...while we still can.

Thanks for standing with us in this fight,

Emily Stevenson,
