Team,
Last week, Donald Trump got onto the presidential debate stage and spread dangerous lies about our country.
He claimed that Aurora, Colorado, is under siege by a gang of migrants.
He accused Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, of eating cats and dogs.
And he refused to admit that he lost the 2020 election.
It’s no surprise that Donald Trump would use the national stage to spread lies. After all, it’s what he’s always done.
But these lies have serious real-world consequences.
Trump’s refusal to acknowledge the results of the 2020 election resulted in the January 6th insurrection — and continues to threaten our democratic principles today.
And since the debate, multiple elementary schools in Springfield have been evacuated because of bomb threats.
Trump’s racist and hateful lies are putting children’s lives and the future of our democracy at risk.
In November, we have a chance to reject their extremist agenda.
It’s going to take all of us to win back the House, protect our Senate majority, and elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Will you help me elect Democrats across the country by chipping in now?
