[Your campaign brief for September 20, 2024]([link removed])

John-

This week, I debunked the notion that Kamala Harris would somehow be a good commander in chief in light of the disastrous foreign policy decisions she has played a role in under this administration. I also spoke to Republicans in Texas about the message we should be carrying to voters on the fence in this election and how to effect change in 2024, and highlighted the large-scale, targeted operation against Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon.

We are now less than 50 days away from arguably the most important election of our generation. While the presidential race is taking up most of the oxygen, just as important is the race for the House of Representatives. If President Trump wins, as he should, but doesn’t have a Republican majority in the House then none of his agenda will be passed into law. If the worst case scenario plays out in the presidential race, then Republicans must use our majority to hold Kamala Harris accountable and roadblock her radical proposals.

We can only hold the House majority if you are willing to donate. It’s just that simple. While my election is safe, there are dozens of close races across the country from New York to California that will determine which party controls the House of Representatives. When you donate to my campaign, that money goes right out the door to support these candidates - commonsense conservative leaders who are running in Democrat states and in districts that Joe Biden won in 2020. I don’t hold onto your resources in some campaign warchest like many politicians; I put it to immediate use.

If you can spare any donation at all, it will go a long way to hold the House of Representatives, which is a priority we cannot forget in this election. Donate here:

As always, thank you for your continued support. Now here’s your brief.

KAMALA IS NO COMMANDER IN CHIEF

Peace through strength has been a guiding principle of American foreign policy, one that demands a strong U.S. military and decisive leadership from the commander in chief.

Since the start of the Biden-Harris Administration, the United States has been losing ground on the world stage. President Biden’s most notable foreign policy failures—the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, signaling to Putin that a ‘minor incursion’ into Ukraine might be acceptable, and deterring Israel from finishing off Hamas—have weakened our standing globally. Kamala Harris has been present for every one of those decisions. Additionally, her failure to lead when tasked with solving our border crisis is a glaring example of the lack of strength and decisiveness necessary to protect this country.

The commander in chief must understand the often zero-sum nature of foreign affairs, where advancing America's interests usually comes at the expense of our rivals. Leadership is about preventing crises from spiraling out of control, not pursuing Kamala’s misguided notion of universal "fairness” which leaves our troops in a compromised position against our adversaries.

Kamala Harris simply isn't suited to be the commander in chief, and it's obvious to anyone with common sense.

WHAT WE MUST DO TO WIN THIS ELECTION

The majority of the electorate in this election have already made up their minds. President Trump has a core set of voters who will vote for him no matter what. Kamala Harris has the same thing on her side. The real fight in this election is for that slim share of voters in the middle - the undecideds - who have yet to make up their minds about who they’re going to vote for in not only the presidential race, but up and down the ballot.

So, how do we win those voters to our side?

Elections are fundamentally about persuasion. Elections are not about screaming and yelling in our own bubble, to people who already agree with us. That wins us no new voters. We must go outside our bubble and into moderate or even liberal environments and speak to people who might otherwise not hear from us.

That was my message for activists in Montgomery County, Texas, one of the most conservative areas of the entire country. I had a mission for our Republican activists: go out and persuade the independent and undecided voters to join us. And if you live in a deep red county like Montgomery, where a GOP victory is assured, you can volunteer in a blue county like Harris County. There is always more you can do - donate, volunteer, hand out campaign literature, walk blocks, anything.

And the message to swing voters is simple: by every metric, you were better off under four years of President Trump than you were under Biden-Harris and America is better under conservative leadership at every single level of our government.

HEZBOLLAH HAS A PAGER PROBLEM

In case you have not been following: hundreds of pagers and hand-held radios belonging to Hezbollah operatives have mysteriously exploded over the past week in Lebanon. Hezbollah is an Iran-backed terrorist organization that holds significant political power in Lebanon, and mostly use that power to go after Israel.

The explosions have killed dozens of Hezbollah operatives and injured many more—including Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon. (What was he doing with a Hezbollah device..?)

Hezbollah is blaming Israel for the attacks, of course. Since October 7th, the terrorist group has conducted rocket strikes against Israel in support of Hamas, likely an effort to draw Israeli attention and resources away from Gaza. Of course, Hezbollah has been targeting Israel for decades.

This clever operation against Hezbollah will at least force the group to question their internal security operations and the safety of the communication devices they rely on. It’s a surgical way to respond to their rocket attacks without starting another ground war.
