Dear neighbor,
With only one legislative week between us and a possible government shutdown, this week the House majority wasted precious time on bills that won’t go anywhere and won’t fund the government. House Republicans need to do their job and fund the government.
Project 2025 isn’t just some document—it's an actual policy agenda with central pillars that have already been implemented, leading to direct harm on American families. Written by former President Trump’s supporters and advisors, Project 2025 represents a take over of our government institutions and day-to-day lives. From eliminating checks and balances, ending protections for the LGBTQ+ community and banning abortion nationwide to completely gutting the Department of Education and even eradicating the National Weather Service, Project 2025 is scary.
We’re already seeing some of the impacts of Project 2025. Check out my full remarks from this week’s House Democratic Caucus leadership press conference below.
Earlier this week we celebrated 77 years since the creation of the Air Force! As an Air Force veteran, I am thankful every day for the brave servicemembers who have dedicated their lives to the defense of our nation. Here’s to many more years of service!
