Participate in free youth target shooting competition
Know a young person who's a great shot? There is still time to sign up for the longest running youth shooting event in the state, the 2024 Nebraska Youth Smallbore Silhouette Invitational.
Here's a few things to know:
- The competition is free to enter.
- It takes place Saturday, Sept. 28 at Pressey Wildlife Management Area, 17 miles south of Broken Bow.
- Youth can enter as individuals or in teams.

Who's eligible? The competition is open to youth ages 11 or older who have successfully completed Hunter Education AND have not yet graduated from high school. (Proof of Hunter Education completion is required.)
Pre-registration is preferred and can be completed online or on the day of competition. Learn more at the link below. See you there!
