John, It's Senate Democratic Leader Dinah Sykes—did you see this?
I'm disappointed, but not surprised—this isn't the first time right-wing extremists have gone against the will of the people, especially in Kansas.
But before I get into Kansas's battle over reproductive freedom, I have to make this clear: Abortion is a winning issue, and this year, Democrats have the perfect opportunity to break the out-of-touch Republican Supermajorities and put an end to the near-absolute hold they have over our lives. Can you chip in today to support the Kansas Dems on their mission to get more people-first Democrats elected?
[BUTTON- SUPPORT THE KANSAS DEMS]
In 2022, after Roe v. Wade was overturned (despite the majority of Americans believing in the right to privacy and life-saving Reproductive care), the issue was passed onto the states—and we sent the issue directly to Kansas voters who overwhelmingly chose to protect reproductive rights.
But in 2023 and 2024, Democratic legislators had to continue fighting to protect the entire spectrum of reproductive care, including IVF, contraception, abortion, and more because right-wing extremists at the state level used their supermajority to push back and infringe further on access to care.
Reproductive freedom has continued to be an issue that clearly the majority of Kansans feel should be protected, but even just earlier this week, both of our U.S. Senators just voted AGAINST protecting IVF access…
It's clear that up and down the ballot we deserve common-sense legislators that listen to us, protect our rights, and make sure our values are represented.
John, this year the Kansas Dems are working at every level to get Kansans the voice they deserve, but they need your help. Breaking the supermajorities in both chambers is the first step to reaffirming the rights we're all rooting for. Can you chip in today to help the Kansas Dems elect more Pro-Choice Champions?

Thank you,
Sen. Dinah Sykes
