Dear MoveOn member,
With abortion on the ballot, it's not an exaggeration to say that this
election is a matter of life and death.
As recently reported, there are now cases of women dying because abortion
bans prevented them from getting medical care they needed—such as Amber
Thurman, the nurse-in-training and mother of a young child, who died
because Georgia doctors were prohibited by state law to perform the
procedure that would have saved her life.^1
We all have a choice between two presidential candidates—one who brags
about being responsible for overturning Roe vs. Wade and another who is
fighting fiercely to restore abortion access in every state. In addition,
a handful of states, including Arizona, will be voting on the future of
abortion rights in their states through ballot initiatives. Abortion is
literally on the ballot.
[ [link removed] ]Can you join fellow MoveOn members to call voters in Arizona to talk
about restoring abortion rights and the importance of electing Vice
President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz? Sign up now to join
virtually on Tuesday, September 24, at 8 p.m. ET (7 CT/6 MT/5 PT)!
In Arizona, voters will see Proposition 139 on their ballots.^2 This
ballot initiative gives Arizonans the opportunity to amend the state
constitution to permanently protect access to abortion care. With
right-wing attacks on our reproductive rights, we have to do everything in
our power to ensure Arizonans will continue to have access to abortion.
And right now, this means helping spread the word to Arizonans about
Proposition 139 to drive them to the polls to vote yes.
[ [link removed] ]So, will you join Tuesday's phone bank to talk to Arizona voters about
voting yes on Proposition 139 to restore and protect abortion access?
Every conversation makes a difference.
MoveOn staff and volunteers make phone banks easy, fun, and effective.
You'll have folks coaching you on how to make calls and how to talk about
the issues, and you can check in with each other between calls.
These personal interactions are so much more powerful than TV ads and
social media posts. And MoveOn is ensuring we're calling exactly the
voters who can turn this election—if they make a plan to vote. By speaking
to them about what's at stake, encouraging them to make a plan, and
putting a personal voice to this outreach, you are the most effective tool
to inspire voter turnout.
For the sake of abortion rights and so much more—and for the health and
lives of hundreds of millions of Americans now living in states where they
are denied access to the health care they need and deserve—join a phone
bank Tuesday evening.
[ [link removed] ]RSVP now for Tuesday's phone bank or another one soon, make calls from
home, and help get out the vote for abortion rights!
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn? The MAGA right is declaring war, and Project 2025
is their battle plan. Project 2025 threatens our rights, attacks
communities of color, hurts middle- and working-class families, and
undermines our democracy. But we will not back down or let Trump steamroll
our nation.
Will you start a monthly donation to power and sustain MoveOn's election
plan, stop Trump, and ensure Project 2025 is never enacted?
[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.
[ [link removed] ]No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
