I’m Congressman Eric Sorensen and I’m proud to be one of the SEEC members fighting to protect our planet from climate change. But I need your help.
This year, I am running in one of the most competitive races in the country, and I’m one of the top targets for special interests funded by Big Oil and Gas companies.
Before becoming a member of Congress, I was a meteorologist and local TV weatherman. So I understand first-hand how climate change is impacting our communities and causing extreme weather events like the ones I covered on a daily basis. (In fact, I was incorporating the science of climate change in my weather forecasts even when it was a divisive issue!)
One of the first decisions I made when coming to Congress was joining SEEC, as I knew it would be the best place to engage with a collection of like-minded Members of Congress all dedicated to solving the climate crisis.
I’m also proud to serve on the Science, Space and Technology Committee where I can have a direct impact on the environmental issues that impact our communities the most, like reauthorizing the Weather Act to make our communities more weather-ready and resilient.
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe.
