I want to explain exactly why I’m asking for your support because I know you get a lot of these asks from a whole lot of people.

I believe deeply in the power of government to improve people’s lives – but it’s also become clear to me over the past few years in the House that our system is simply not working right now. And because of that – the gridlock, the in-fighting, the constant political maneuvering – far too many people, especially young people, have lost faith in our public institutions.

They no longer trust that our government can address the issues we’re facing. And having been a member of the House under disastrously unstable and ineffective GOP leadership, I get where they’re coming from. With Republicans running the show, we can’t take action and tackle problems, because they have no serious interest in governing.

That’s why I’m working so hard to flip the House to a Democratic majority this November, and it’s why I’m asking for your help today.

I’m facing an anti-abortion MAGA opponent who wants to ban marriage equality and thinks climate change is a hoax – so it’s imperative that I win re-election and keep this guy’s extreme views out of the House. But I can’t stop there. It’s also so critical for me to support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at the top of our ticket as well as my fellow Democrats running in tough races.

I’m determined to do everything I can out on the trail between now and November 5th, and your support makes this work possible.
