We recently received some potentially encouraging news regarding our challenge to the Handgun Roster.

As you know, the Supreme Court recently ruled New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. City of New York moot.

And while many were disappointed the court did not agree to hear a new Second Amendment case, there is reason to believe they may hear Pena. 

Repeal the Roster!

In the case of NYSRPA, the court likely refused to intervene because NY repealed its own law, meaning there was no longer a "live" grievance to be settled under the Constitution. 

But in the Court's writing, we found what we believe is evidence that they may be itching to take on a different 2A case.

In the Court's dissent, four of the justices wrote:

"We are told that the mode of review in this case is representative of the way Heller has been treated in the lower courts. If that is true, there is cause for concern."

That's where Pena comes in. CGF's landmark lawsuit is an obvious choice for the court to hear. 

Pena challenges an obvious infringement on liberty that runs contrary to the decisions clearly established by the court in Heller and McDonald.

Therefore, we are preparing to make the largest push we've ever made to convince the Supreme Court to hear Pena in conference this month.
