Like a lot of letter writers, I care very deeply about doing work that is backed up by real evidence for impact. I originally came on board the research team here at Vote Forward in 2020 to measure the impact of our letter writing campaigns through rigorous experimentation. That means I’ve seen all the data we have on letters’ effectiveness for myself, which makes me very confident that when I write my own letters, I’m really making a difference.
In my letters, I like to remind voters about all the millions of people who are voting along with us, and invite them to be part of that collective action with me. As human beings, we are all hungry to be in community with one another, especially in a political landscape that can feel stressful and divisive.
I’m so proud of the work that we as a community have accomplished already this year, with more than 6 million voters adopted! As we approach the beginning of the October mail window for our voter turnout campaigns, we’re also approaching the end of this year’s grassroots donor-funded Free Stamps & Letter Kits program. If you haven’t started writing with us yet this year, and a book of stamps or all of the supplies needed to write 20 letters to voters would make it possible for you to participate, be sure to submit your request by the October 1 deadline.
If you’d like to support this program and make letter writing possible for more volunteers, you can do so by contributing to the Vote Forward Letter Kits fund.
