These virtual spaces are led by movement doula, activist, and strategist Cristina Aguilar and are created to be in a soft landing space of restoration and renewal.

Housing Justice in the States: Trends, Tools & Tenant Power
October 9, 3:00 pm ET / 12:00 pm PT

We all have a right to safe, affordable, sustainable housing. Yet renters in all states face skyrocketing rents, junk fees, and unfair evictions with little protections. Unchecked corporate landlords and private equity firms consolidate housing supply and price gouge working families. These corporate actors dominate the policy landscape, while housing policy decisions affecting renters are often made without renters at the table. Legislators, local electeds, and renters are working in collaboration across the country to change that and advance housing justice. Legislators, legislative staff, local electeds, and advocates are invited. This briefing will be recorded.

New Report: AI, Tech, and Workers Rights

Technology can be used to advance or undermine progress. Contrary to what the tech industry might suggest, the proliferation of abusive tools isn’t inevitable or uncontrollable. They can and should be regulated to safeguard our rights. Learn more in User Error: AI, Tech, and Workers Rights, a new report for state legislators released by SiX, Kairos Action, and Economic Security Project Action.
