We all have a right to safe, affordable, sustainable housing. Yet renters in all states face skyrocketing rents, junk fees, and unfair evictions with little protections. Unchecked corporate landlords and private equity firms consolidate housing supply and price gouge working families. These corporate actors dominate the policy landscape, while housing policy decisions affecting renters are often made without renters at the table. Legislators, local electeds, and renters are working in collaboration across the country to change that and advance housing justice.
