Fed Sees Trouble, Drops Interest Rates by Half Point |

The U.S. Federal Reserve voted Wednesday to cut interest rates by half a percentage point, notching down the federal-funds rate, on which other interest rates are based, from 5.25%-5.5% to 4.75%-5%. An overwhelming majority (11 of 12 Fed voters) supported the sizable cut, and a narrow majority of Fed officials signaled their openness to further quarter-point rate cuts at both their November and December meetings. |

A day after pagers used by the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah exploded, Hezbollah's handheld radios exploded, too, killing at least 25 and wounding 450 (the first wave of blasts killed 12 and injured nearly 2,800). Some reports indicate that other electronics used by Hezbollah, such as solar energy systems and computers, also exploded, leaving the terrorists to wonder if any electronic device is now safe. Israel followed up with airstrikes on Hezbollah positions on Friday. |

A shocking new survey is revealing that nearly a fifth of Americans wish former President Donald Trump had been slain by an assassin's bullet. According to a Napolitan News Service poll conducted by RMG Research founder and president Scott Rasmussen, 17% of surveyed voters answered "Yes" when asked if the U.S. would be "better off if Donald Trump had been killed..." Nearly 70% of voters responded "No" and 14% said that they were "not sure." |
