The reality of running a serious movement for change, John, is that it takes resources to run a smart operation. So I personally wanted to let you know that this was our strongest online fundraising month since launching our campaign last July.
I know that the past six weeks haven’t been easy, John. There isn’t a day that I don’t think of the folks who are hurting most in our community now: working families scrambling to make ends meet, those who put their lives on the line every day at work, those who lost their jobs -- and perhaps with that, their health insurance. I think of those who are hurting, John, and then I fight harder.
I’m in this race because I believe deeply in the power of collective action to effect positive change. As a mother, an educator, a leader, and a friend, I know that we deserve better -- that we can and we will do better.
And what’s more clear than ever before is that thousands of folks from across Southwest Washington share my conviction that it is time to bring real representation to Southwest Washington. John, folks like you are the reason we're persevering in good times and in hard times -- and will continue to do so through the end.
I am so proud to be in this fight with you.
Stay safe and healthy -- and, as always, you can respond directly to this email to be in touch with my campaign team.
In solidarity,
-- Carolyn
