The treatment for a miscarriage is the same as an abortion. If a miscarriage does not expel, the tissue is removed from the uterus by medication or surgery. That's right, it's the same procedure.
In states with abortion bans, providers can be uncertain if they are "in the clear" when treating miscarriage using abortion techniques. This has led to dangerous—even fatal—delays in treatment, or outright refusal of treatment for women who are experiencing miscarriage.
Abortion is health care.
