The ECCA provides K-12 scholarships for up to two million students across America to attend schools that best meet their educational needs as determined by their parents.
Last week, the U.S. House Ways & Means Committee passed the ECCA and sent it to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives as a crucial next step toward enactment. The ECCA would:
* Provide scholarship opportunities for use in K-12 education in private and religious schools, homeschool, or supplement public school education with tutoring or other services;
* Empower families financially to access for their children the highest-quality, most suitable education available that aligns with their values; and
* Generate private funding of scholarships for K-12 with a new tax credit against federal income tax with no government money and NO role for the U.S. Department of Education.
