Dear Friend,

I recently told you about our Pineapple Appeal, and the stories of Fatuma and Elizabeth, two farmers who are on the front lines of the climate crisis in Kenya. I’d like to tell you a bit more about why pineapples are so important in places like Kwale county, Kenya, where I work with Ripple Effect farmers.

**Would you like to test your pineapple knowledge by**[**taking our short quiz**]([link removed] "Take the quiz")**?**

Pineapples grow in erratic weather conditions, so are ideal in Kwale county, Kenya, where farmers are experiencing these conditions because of climate change. As a result, **poverty-busting pineapples can help provide families with a reliable income.**

Pineapples are also a great source of revenue. They can be processed into profitable products such as dried fruit or juices and sold to local schools and hotels throughout the year. **Growing these fruits can empower families to improve their livelihoods and create a brighter future for generations to come.**

**I hope you enjoy taking the quiz. You could even**[**send it to your family and friends**]([link removed] "Share the quiz")**and see who gets the highest score!**

If you have any questions about how we’re standing alongside farmers in Kenya, please feel free to contact my colleagues at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

With best wishes,

Hamisi Hassan
