Mad has continued the fights she started in Harrisburg as founder and Chair of the PA SAFE Caucus. In Washington, Mad has been a leader in the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, and she helped pass legislation for universal background checks, and to close the dangerous “Charleston Loophole.”

Every day, more than 100 Americans are killed by gun violence. Gun violence rates in America are hundreds of times higher than in other industrialized countries — and it’s time we change that.
