Democrat Donor Issues Assassination Threat on Supreme Court Justices

And their families. Daily Wire: A Democrat donor was arrested this week for allegedly threatening to murder six U.S. Supreme Court Justices and some of their family members. The U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday that 76-year-old Panos Anastasiou sent more than 465 messages to the Supreme Court through a public website run by the court. The messages — sent from March 10, 2023, through July 16, 2024 — “escalated to messages intending to threaten harm toward the victims,” the DOJ said. “The messages contained violent, racist, and homophobic rhetoric coupled with threats of assassination by torture, hanging, and firearms” (Daily Wire). Wall Street Journal: In 2020 Chuck Schumer stood outside the Supreme Court and threatened Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch by name. “You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he declared. Other Democrats are railing against the Court as illegitimate and corrupt. We’re glad to see Justice pre-empt Mr. Anastasiou’s potential violence, but Democrats could also stand to stop their vicious attacks on the Court (Wall Street Journal).

Ex-Border Patrol Chief Testifies He Was Blocked From Informing Public on Border Threat
Fox News: A former Border Patrol sector chief told lawmakers that he was blocked from informing the public about migrants who may be potential terror threats, as he says the Biden administration wanted to downplay the threat. “In San Diego, we had an exponential increase in Significant Interest Aliens [SIAs]. These are aliens with significant ties to terrorism,” former San Diego Sector Chief Patrol official Aaron Heitke told lawmakers on the House Homeland Security Committee. “Prior to this administration, the San Diego sector averaged 10-15 SIAs per year. Once word was out that the border was far easier to cross, San Diego went to over 100 SIAs in 2022, way over 100 SIAs in 2023 and more than that this year,” he warned. “These are only the ones we caught” (Fox News). Trump War Room: Stop what you are doing and watch this entire testimony from retired Border Patrol Chief Aaron Heitke. He says that he was ordered by the Kamala-Biden admin to cover up the number of terrorists arrested at the border (X).

Israeli Jets Pound Lebanon Amidst Speculation of Escalation in North
Times of Israel: Israeli fighter jets in the last several hours struck over 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon that were primed for immediate attacks on Israel, the military says. The IDF says that in total, the launchers included around 1,000 launch barrels. The strikes began this afternoon and were carried out in several waves. “The IDF continues to damage and degrade the terror capabilities and military infrastructure of the Hezbollah terror organization,” the military adds (Times of Israel).

Israel Didn’t Modify the Pagers, It Made Them
New York Times: B.A.C. did take on ordinary clients, for which it produced a range of ordinary pagers. But the only client that really mattered was Hezbollah, and its pagers were far from ordinary. Produced separately, they contained batteries laced with the explosive PETN, according to the three intelligence officers. The pagers began shipping to Lebanon in the summer of 2022 in small numbers, but production was quickly ramped up after Mr. Nasrallah denounced cellphones (New York Times). The nature of the operation continues to stagger minds: This operation stands as one of the most successful military feats since the Second World War—not only because of its flawless execution but because Israel achieved something unprecedented: the most precisely targeted anti-terrorist operation in the history of the world. This was not just a disruption of terrorist capabilities but also a psychological dismantling of the minds of tens of thousands of Hezbollah members. Even those who were not physically harmed are now mentally wounded. Their mindset will never be the same. They will no longer view a refrigerator, microwave, or light bulb in the same way. Until their last day, they will never feel safe, no matter where they are. They will live in constant fear of what might explode next (JPost).

A “Staggering” Shift: Aftershocks Continue After Teamsters Snub Kamala Harris
The eroding support of Democrats from the union workers accelerated as Kamala Harris became nominee. David Marcus: The results of the Teamsters own internal survey were staggering. Back in July, President Joe Biden, (remember him?) was leading Donald Trump 44-36 percent. Fast forward to today and Trump has surged to a 60-34 lead over Harris in the online survey and 58-31 over the phone lines. This is a massive shift, more dramatic than we have seen within any other substantial demographic. Cutting off Joe Biden’s ancient roots in the labor movement has left members a clearer choice between Harris and Trump, and it’s bad news for the Veep. It’s also bad news for many in the Teamsters leadership who bristled when union president Sean O’Brien spoke at the Republican National Convention, as did the left-aligned labor movement in general (Fox News). AOC was upset with the Teamsters. Washington Examiner, quoting Union President Obrien: “instead of trying to pick a fight with labor leaders who listen to their members and embrace their members’s opinions, she should maybe get into her district where it voted far Republican, far-right Republican, and maybe find out what the problem is.” O’Brien added that when he has any problems on a worksite between members, he chooses to address the issue at hand. As such, he suggested the New York congresswoman “may want to focus on her job instead of mine” (Washington Examiner).

Gallup Survey Indicates Favorability Shift Towards Trump
Guy Benson: A new national survey from Gallup contains positive news for the Trump campaign, and concerning data for Team Kamala. While the poll does not test the head-to-head presidential matchup, it does measure voters’ impressions of the two major parties’ nominees. This poll was in the field for the better part of two weeks, spanning both pre- and post-debate dates. Compared to August, when Kamala Harris was riding a wave of media adulation, this data set shows clear erosion in her favorability ratings. But if this were simply a product of the so-called ‘sugar high’ wearing off, that wouldn’t necessarily explain the corresponding gains Trump has made on the same metrics. Her favorability faltering wouldn’t guarantee that his standing would move at all – but it has…. Trump is somewhat unpopular, with a (-7) net favorability rating. Harris is more unpopular, at (-10). Trump has seen a seven-point net gain on these measures since August, while Harris has tumbled by eight points. Her unfavorable rating is up five points over the last month (Townhall).

Trump or Harris? The National Security Choice
Hugh Hewitt: That “choice” is between Trump/Ohio Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s national security team, and his 3,000 other political appointees and Harris/ Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, her national security team and her 3,000 other appointees. At the end of his first term, Trump had Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, National Security Advisor Ambassador Robert C. O’Brien, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe and many more who are expected to return in a second Trump term in some role. Harris’s national security choices are almost a complete unknown save for Philip Gordon, her current National Security Advisor (a very unsettling prospect according to people who I know who know his record.) A key consideration for voters should be the national security team Trump or Harris will bring with them, along with the 3,000 appointees they will also place in every agency of the vast federal government beginning in late January. Trump’s appointees will be center-right to conservative men and women and Harris’s appointees are almost wholly unknown but, in many if not most cases, will be out-and-out radicals, far to the left of the mainstream. That’s the San Francisco way. That’s why San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley are in such ruins. They are all run by extreme “progressives,” which really means radicals (Fox News).

Soros Doubles Down on “Disinformation;” Gives $250,000 to the Global Disinformation Index
Simple disagreement is fast becoming “disinformation.” Washington Examiner: “If the American people had any doubt that there is a well-funded and well-connected effort to censor free speech in America, documents like these remove any doubt,” said Gene Hamilton, executive director of America First Legal, a group of ex-Trump administration officials investigating alleged censorship efforts by the Biden-Harris administration…. “From funding pro-criminal prosecutors to backing anti-free speech organizations, George Soros has a long track record of attempting to shred the fabric of our Republic,” Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), who has sought to ban federal funding to “censorship” groups, told the Washington Examiner (Washington Examiner).

Pelosi Falsely Claims Kamala Harris Won in an Open Primary
From a Semafor event where she was speaking about her new book, “The Art of Power’: “We had an open primary and she won it. Nobody else got in the race because she was politically astute. That was the thought. Let’s show our talent … So it wasn’t that we didn’t have an open process, it’s just that nobody got in because she had a running start (X). That’s a flagrant lie. The Semafor event: (Semafor). A reminder for you: Democrat delegates won by Joe Biden: 3,861, Uncommitted: 36, Dean Phillips: 4, Kamala Harris: 0 (Politico). Victor Davis Hanson sums up what actually happened: on Sunday, July 21 — just days left before state ballots were formalized with the names of the parties’ official nominees, and on the eve of the Democratic convention — party bosses, mega-donors, and Obama puppeteers went into action for yet a third time. They reportedly threatened candidate Biden with a complete loss of any further campaign funding and raised the specter of invoking the 25th Amendment to end his presidency — should he not suddenly withdraw from the race and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as his surrogate on the ticket. In one moment, the choices of nearly 15 million Biden primary voters were vitiated. No delegates were consulted. No other alternative Democrat candidates were even considered. Biden was dethroned; Harris was coronated — without much public input or even knowledge of how or why (Townhall). Elon Musk: Maybe she’s just trying to illustrate what misinformation means (X)

Democrat Kentucky Governor Signs Executive Order Banning So-Called “Conversion Therapy”
Andy Beshear: We’ve heard the voices of LGBTQ Kentuckians and we stand with them. Today I was proud to sign an executive order banning dangerous conversion “therapy” on our kids (X). Albert Mohler: It will be used to limit parental rights and parental authority. And I believe it is certain that it will be used also to conscribe the religious liberty of Christian organizations. It implies that the Commonwealth of Kentucky has an official position on this issue. Now, it is not legislation, it’s an executive order signed by the current Democratic governor of Kentucky, who after all just a little while ago was very much in contention, he believed and we were told to be the vice presidential nominee on the Democratic ticket. The fact is this is a political act. But as Christians understand, the fact is this is a deeply moral act and this one subversive of moral order, religious liberty and parental rights (Albert Mohler). Beshear is emulating vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz:  Gov. Tim Walz, Vice President Harris’ running mate, issued an executive order in 2021 to ban conversion therapy in his home state of Minnesota, and in 2023, the state took things a step further by passing a law banning the practice (CBS).
