Jack,
This should be a no-brainer, but I’ll state it plainly: Americans should never have to choose between their health and exercising their right to vote.
But the coronavirus pandemic has upended every aspect our lives and represents a significant challenge to the safety of our elections. And without universal vote-by-mail, that’s a choice many Americans may have to make come November.
That’s why I’m joining with my colleagues in calling for vote-by-mail for all Americans. Because participating in our democracy should not be a issue of life or death.
If you agree, will you sign my petition today? We have to keep pushing back and speaking out to make this happen.
President Trump believes that if fewer people turn out to vote, he’ll win re-election. That’s the ONLY reason why he’s against universal vote-by-mail.
It’s an embarrassment. We should be setting politics aside and making it easier for Americans to vote, not harder. That’s why I’m not only calling for no-excuse vote-by-mail, but also at least 15 consecutive days of early voting and automatic voter registration—including a secure, online voter registration system.
Our work starts with universal vote-by-mail. We cannot let the coronavirus pandemic derail our elections or open our country up to election interference.
Add your name to my petition if you agree: Americans should never have to put their health and safety on the line in order to vote. We need nationwide vote-by-mail NOW.
Thank you for standing with me on this,
Kirsten
