The Kansas GOP has been working to defeat me for years because, as Kansas’ only elected Democrat at the federal level, I’m a major obstacle to their agenda.

But have you ever looked closely at what their agenda calls for? They wrote it down in black-and-white at the beginning of this year.

Their proposed platform calls for banning same-sex marriage, taking away abortion rights, and restricting Medicaid access — so that Kansans who can’t afford health insurance will lose access to the care they need.

We can’t let that agenda become a reality, which means it’s absolutely critical that we win this race. Will you pitch in today and help power my fight for a better future for Kansas families?

The thing is, it’s not just the Kansas GOP we have to worry about: anti-choice extremists and election deniers are pouring money into my opponent’s campaign. Speaker Mike Johnson personally sent him a check, and the NRCC is attacking me with a flood of misleading claims about my record.

But I’ve won tough races like this before. I was able to flip this seat in 2018 and hold on to it because I wasn’t afraid of a fight — especially when that fight is for our fundamental freedoms, and for economic opportunity for my neighbors here in Kansas.
