You've probably by now seen the photo of Mike Pence standing in the Mayo Clinic, meeting doctors and health officials, with no mask.

But now the vice president has explained why he flouted the guidelines of the clinic and the CDC: he wanted to look health personnel in the eye. Let's check the photo again:
