How can we shift beliefs and change views on social justice issues like immigration? Through storytelling and culture.  

"New York Proud” does just that. Showcasing 25 stunning portraits of immigrant New Yorkers, this compelling public art project celebrates their uplifting stories and impact on the city to help promote a pro-immigrant future. If you're in NYC, don't miss out on this project’s pop-up exhibits, subway platforms ads, and bus transit signs viewable until early October.

Thanks to your support, The Opportunity Agenda (TOA) conducted the foundational research, partially funded the project, and developed its messaging. This collaboration with the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), F.Y. Eye, and photographer Oscar B. Castillo is just the beginning of what we can achieve together. 

But the work doesn’t stop here. We need to amplify stories like these in many more of our cities to change the narrative on immigration nationwide.
