Abandoning Progressive Policies

Last month, Jagmeet Singh and the NDP took Pierre Poilievre’s advice and pulled out of our supply and confidence agreement.

Their decision to abandon progressive policies puts important programs like $10-a-day child care, the Canadian Dental Care Plan, Pharmacare, and the Canada Carbon Rebate at risk of Conservative cuts.

And with Pierre Poilievre upping his calls for a non-confidence vote, we could be heading into an election at any moment.

Helping kids get ahead

We officially launched the National School Food Program by signing our first agreement with Newfoundland and Labrador. Our plan will help thousands of kids get healthy school meals so that they can concentrate on learning.

Last week, we signed our first National Pharmacare agreement with British Columbia to cover prescription contraceptives and life-saving diabetes medication for anyone who needs it.
