September 19, 2024 KSGOP Press Release September 19, 2024 (Topeka) - Today, shocking evidence surfaced that career politician Nancy Boyda failed to follow clearly-defined Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules that require “paid for by” disclosures on campaign signs, campaign videos, campaign websites, and other campaign communications. Mike Brown formally submitted an official complaint to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) today, highlighting these egregious, flagrant, and shocking omissions. KSGOP Chairman Mike Brown said, “It’s shocking that Nancy Boyda, who previously served in Congress, wants to go back to writing laws for the rest of us while Boyda is unable or unwilling to follow federal rules herself. The law is clear, and as a former Member of Congress, there is no excuse as to why Boyda has failed to follow simple laws. Kansans deserve a Congressman who respects our laws and is transparent with voters. That’s why Kansans should elect Derek Schmidt for Congress this November.” Brown continued, “The main question now: Is Nancy Boyda trying to hide who paid for her campaign signs and website?” Per the FEC website ([link removed]): “In printed communications, the disclaimer must be contained within a printed box set apart from the contents of the communication. The print of the disclaimer must be of sufficient size to be “clearly readable” by the recipient of the communication, and the print must have a reasonable degree of color contrast between the background and the printed statement.” You may unsubscribe from this email list at any time by unsubscribing below.
