The New York Times: "In making the decision against holding a primary, which had been scheduled for June 23, the Democratic chair of the New York State Board of Elections called the primary "essentially a beauty contest" that the state could ill-afford in the face of the coronavirus pandemic."
In response, former presidential candidate Andrew Yang has filed a lawsuit. Yang says calling off the election undermines the voting rights of New Yorkers and hurts down ballot challengers.
It's understandable that Yang is concerned about an election he views as being threatened -- the GOP has already made voter suppression a tactic in states like Wisconsin. No matter your view on the NY primary, we want to know:
