Rob In The News:
This week's News highlights with Rob Wittman!
→ “Wittman recognizes the importance of making these skills available to
citizens of all demographic and economic backgrounds. I was proud to see
Wittman’s work on the 529 education savings accounts. Wittman’s Freedom to
Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act expands the use of 529 plans to cover
post-secondary training and credentialing programs. This bill is a game-changer
for families in our district, making higher <>education and vocational training
more accessible and affordable. To suggest Wittman works only for the wealthy
is to ignore his efforts to provide better educational opportunities for all
our children and grandchildren.”

→ For Wittman — who serves as Vice Chairman of the House Armed Services
Committee — his primary focus is upon the military and protecting Virginia's
national defense interests.
"Virginia is ground zero for much of our military. I want to make sure we
continue to support that. Being in a leadership position there on the House
Armed Services Committee allows me to do a lot of things. Eventually competing
to become chairman would allow me to do even more," he said.

→ Autumn Zaborowski, of Henrico, has been named the 2024 Angel in Adoption
honoree by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute for her work to
support adoptive and foster families.
Zaborowski has been an adoptive mother to two boys and also has worked to
build relationships between the Henrico Department of Social Services and the
faith community to help better the lives of countless adoptive and foster
children in the area, said Rep. Rob Wittman (VA-01), who nominated her for the
award.
