John,
My name is Samantha Diaz. I wanted to introduce myself today because, as the Organizing Director for the DFL Coordinated Campaign, I see the impact of every contribution we receive.
Thanks to your support, we’ve grown our team of organizers and opened 25 volunteer offices across Minnesota. We have a plan to reach more voters than ever before in this critical election year, and we’re already seeing success. For example, our staff has knocked on the doors of 100,000 Minnesotans, shattering the record of 61,000 attempts that we set in 2022.
This will be the most consequential election of our lifetime. To meet this historic moment, we need to build an equally historic people-powered movement. As an experienced organizer, I can tell you that while it will be a challenge to keep Minnesota from flipping red for the first time since 1972 this November, it’s a fight we can win.
To elect Vice President Kamala Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and maintain our DFL majorities, we all need to give it everything we’ve got for the next 46 days. That’s why I’m asking for your help personally.
Our finance director, Nora, just told me we’re not on track to meet this week’s budget target. If we don’t make up the difference by Friday—the first day of early voting in Minnesota—we’ll need to scale back our efforts right when we should be scaling up. To close the gap, we need to raise $9,250 by midnight on Friday.
John, will you contribute $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you today to help keep Minnesota blue?
