Race + Power Weekly

In today’s Race + Power newsletter, we look at disenfranchised voters, the push to give them power, and the potential impact of policy changes. First, in most of the United States, if you’re convicted of a crime, you lose the right to vote, which is not the international norm. Three national nonprofits call for policy change. Next, Supermajority is an organization that believes those closest to the pain should have their voices and concerns uplifted. Through this election and beyond, they are fighting to make that happen. Then, looking under the hood, proposals in the Project 2025 report threaten racial and economic justice gains in housing, education, labor, taxes, regulatory policy, and more. Finally, Nonprofit Quarterly Magazine’s Health Justice issue calls for pitches for “A Social Lens for Health Innovation.”
