Hi John,
Coloradans have some important decisions to make at the ballot box this November—including statewide measures that will deeply affect our state.
As a party, we are supporting ballot measures that reflect our values, ensure the ultra-wealthy cannot undermine our democracy, protect reproductive freedom, and enshrine the right to marriage for all Coloradans.
Below is a list of all of the ballot measures that the Colorado Democratic Party supports:
✅ Amendment 79 – Enshrines abortion access as a constitutional right in Colorado and repeals the existing ban on state and local government funding for abortion services
✅ Amendment G - Extends homestead exemption eligibility to veterans with unemployment status
✅ Amendment H - Increases the judicial discipline process's transparency, independence, and integrity to improve public trust
✅ Amendment I - Restores the ability of judges to deny bail to people charged with first-degree murder if certain criteria are met
✅ Amendment J - Repeal the Definition of Marriage in the Constitution, protecting marriage equality in Colorado
✅ Amendment K - Modify Constitutional Election Deadlines
✅ Proposition JJ - Retain Additional Sports Betting Tax Revenue
✅ Proposition KK - Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax
We encourage you to join us in voting YES on the above ballot measures in November.
We’re also encouraging you to vote NO on the following measures this fall. From turning our democracy over to the ultra-wealthy and confusing voters, to potential back-door vouchers that take money from public schools, these measures put our Democratic values at risk and make our state a tougher place to live.
Below is a list of all of the ballot measures that the Colorado Democratic Party opposes:
❌ Amendment 80 - This measure opens the door to backdoor vouchers and diverts public money to private schools
❌ Proposition 128 - Once people have served proportional punishment, they should have a fair chance to re-enter society. This measure would make that harder
❌ Proposition 131 - This measure is being promoted by millionaires who are looking to create an overly confusing election system where dark money would have an even bigger influence on our elections
With less than two months to go until Election Day, it’s crucial that we engage and turn out as many Coloradans as we can. Help support us in these efforts >> [[link removed]]
