Team, we’ve written to you quite a bit about this final FEC deadline. We’re sure others are reaching out about it, too.

So we wanted to take a quick minute to tell you exactly why this FEC deadline is so important. Arguably the most important of the entire campaign.

Here’s the truth:

After an FEC deadline, Ruben’s campaign is legally required to publicly report out how much we’ve raised. Right now, nobody knows what we’ve raised this quarter. We don’t know what Kari Lake raised, either.

Kari Lake could be putting away millions of dollars between the millionaire and billionaire donors she has, the Super PACs backing her up, and the other outside money groups arrayed against us. That could come any time, and it would mean a massive wave of attack ads.

You can bet Kari Lake, Donald Trump, and their allies are going to be looking at what we’ve raised. They want to see if we’re vulnerable. If we are, they’ll move in fast. That could do serious damage in the home stretch.

That, more than anything else, is why this FEC deadline is so important. Everyone — friend and foe — is going to be watching our FEC report to decide their next move in the home stretch, these finals weeks.

And that is why we are pushing so hard to hit our goals right now. We’ve got to be ready to fight back against whatever comes next. Emails like these are one of the primary ways we fund this campaign.
