For too many students, it's now or never for them at school.
They have people running for their school boards who don't care about science, don't care about welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ and students of color, and want to ban any books that don't line up with their extreme world views.
This is exactly why I founded the School Board Integrity Project last year – to fight back against nonsense and ensure we elect school board members who will let our kids learn.
This is about protecting students' freedom to learn. That means freedom to read books, freedom to learn science and history, and freedom to go to school without the threat of bullying or harassment because of their race, sexuality, or gender identity.
