Personal health data is just that – personal. We’re calling on you to help keep it that way by contacting DC Councilmembers to encourage them to approve the Consumer Health Information Privacy Protection Act (CHIPPA).

If passed, CHIPPA will provide a comprehensive list of privacy protections for consumer health data that is given to entities not covered by HIPAA, like health device companies and fitness apps. This would protect your confidential health information from being shared without your knowledge or consent.
