It's a career that started in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office where she specialized in prosecuting child sexual assault cases.

It continued as California’s attorney general when she went up against the big banks and won -- securing $20 billion for middle class homeowners who were facing foreclosure during the Great Recession -- and took on predatory for-profit colleges and won -- delivering a $1.1 billion settlement for students and veterans who got scammed.

Then in the U.S. Senate, she led on legislation to raise wages and bring down costs for American families -- on housing, health care, child care, college, and more.

And as Vice President, she's stood up against extremists to defend reproductive freedom and took on Big Pharma to bring down prescription drug costs and cap the price of insulin at $35 a month for our seniors.

Now she is fighting for a New Way Forward that protects our fundamental freedoms, strengthens our democracy, and ensures every person has the opportunity to not just get by, but to get ahead.
