Imagine not seeing clearly simply because of where you were born. It’s almost unthinkable, yet millions of people around the world suffer from this exact fate.
I was born with what you’d call a squint, otherwise known as Strabismus—a misalignment of the eyes causing one eye to turn in a direction that's different from the other. I was often called a klutz because I used to be extremely clumsy, but I didn’t know why.
Eventually, I received a diagnosis and was easily sorted with a simple pair of glasses. But this was only possible because I had access to quality eye care. A staggering 90% of all vision loss is treatable or preventable—often with a pair of glasses like I was given. Which is why we need the support of friends like you.
We know you understand the importance of clear vision and the impact it has on communities. But many places around the globe lack access to the high quality and affordable eye care they need to thrive.
We believe in a world where everyone can access the eyecare they need so that young boys and girls can go to school…teenagers can pursue higher education…adults can give back to their communities…and families can raise children.
