Major State Victories: California, Texas, and Virginia Lead the Way!
Friends, we’re thrilled to share some major wins in the fight for our Republic! Over the past few weeks, we've achieved significant victories in California, Texas, and Virginia, thanks to the tireless efforts of patriots like you.
In California, we faced down an outrageous bill that would have provided $150K and zero-down loans to [ [link removed] ]illegal immigrants [ [link removed] ], despite a severe housing crisis where only 17% of residents can afford to buy a home. [ [link removed] ] While the Democrat majority in both chambers voted to pass this bill, over 363,113 emails and phone calls flooded Governor Newsom's office, resulting in a VETO! This victory, considered impossible, is a testament to the power of grassroots action. Similar bills are being considered in Oregon and Washington. Still, we hope this decisive veto sends a strong message to other states to think twice before pushing policies that harm citizens while catering to illegal populations.
In Texas, Governor Greg Abbott took bold action against the Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua (TdA), declaring them a foreign terrorist organization. The declaration enables the state to use civil asset forfeiture and enhanced penalties to dismantle their operations. This deadly gang, suspected of infiltrating Texas and Colorado, will now face a full crackdown. For years, we’ve been advocating for cartels and violent foreign gangs to be designated as terrorist organizations. Now, Texas has taken a vital step, ensuring that bloodthirsty criminals face the full weight of the law. This is a victory for Texas and national security across the country. Additionally, Attorney General Ken Paxton and state prosecuting attorneys have been making arrests of non-profits registering non-citizens to vote in a two-year undercover investigation that is still active.
In [ [link removed] ]Virginia [ [link removed] ], State Attorney General [ [link removed] ]Jason Miyares [ [link removed] ] has been investigating pro-Hamas nonprofits with alleged ties to terrorist organizations, including [ [link removed] ]Iranian-funded Hamas [ [link removed] ]. [ [link removed] ] This investigation is part of a broader effort to expose and cut off funding to dangerous groups operating on U.S. soil. Miyares also led the fight to block the Biden-Harris Title IX amendments, which aimed to allow boys to replace girls in sports. The Supreme Court ruling in favor of this fight has opened the door for other states to file lawsuits and defend the rights of women and girls. Miyares also contributed to the ongoing battle over Arizona's voter ID and citizenship verification laws [ [link removed] ], securing a partial win by filing an Amicus Brief.
These victories demonstrate the incredible impact of real civic action, where we act on what we know!
