Our health care workers are our first line of defense, and we need to keep them safe. We must act to support our health care workers – right now – as they care for so many in our communities.

There's still a national shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) – even for frontline health care workers. Items like N95 respirator masks, face shields, and basic surgical masks are essential to keep them safe.

Sign the petition and commit to supporting health care workers by staying home, practicing physical distancing, and calling on lawmakers to get PPE into the hands of health care workers!

And just like any other parent, health care workers can't do their jobs without the certainty that their children are safe. With schools and many child care centers remaining closed – and as extended families continue to physically distance – health care workers are left without reliable child care. This puts a logistical and emotional burden on health care workers during an already difficult time.

Earlier this week, I wrote to you about the progress I'm making with me Oregon colleagues in Congress on child care. You can help us amplify our message. Sign the petition and commit to supporting health care workers by staying home, practicing physical distancing, and calling on lawmakers to support policies like emergency child care.

More soon,

Suzanne
