James,

It’s been a pretty horrifying couple of weeks, with bad news on abortion bans and continued GOP efforts to limit reproductive rights. Here’s what you need to know – and why we need you to chip in to elect Kristin Lyerly as the FIRST pro-choice OB/GYN in Congress:

1. In Georgia, reports confirm that abortion bans began costing women their lives just weeks after they were implemented, in preventable situations.

2. In Florida, Ron DeSantis's police are going to the doors of people who helped get this year's reproductive rights amendment on the ballot. It's a wild intimidation tactic.

3. In Texas, officials sued the federal government. They wanted to bypass federal health privacy laws to get info on women who traveled out of state for abortions.

4. In Louisiana, new laws reclassifying abortion pills as a controlled substance mean that medication to stop hemorrhaging will shortly need to be locked up rather than on labor & delivery crash carts. So, doctors are practicing timed drills sprinting between patient rooms and the locked cabinets where they’ll have to keep medication that could save their patients.

These are just a few of the horrific stories coming out of states in the last few weeks. And that’s not even getting into Republicans’ refusal – once again – to protect access to IVF at the federal level.

We urgently need change in this country to protect reproductive health care. Please, rush a donation right now to elect Kristin Lyerly as the first pro-choice OB/GYN to serve in Congress: [link removed]

Thank you,

Team Lyerly
