Fellow American,
This is not the parenting challenge that any of us expected in 2020.
But while we are sheltering at home due to stay-at-home orders, teaching our kids while keeping up with our own responsibilities, and staying in touch with loved ones we can’t wait to see in-person, we can move through these uncertain times with hope, not despair, and bring our families even closer together.
That’s why the American Principles Project declared April as the Month for the Family and shared family activity ideas on our Facebook page throughout the month.
Whether you made a family home video … went camping in your backyard … organized a family movie night … wrote thank you letters to healthcare workers … or found another way to strengthen your family, I hope you and your family had as much fun as we did with this project.
I certainly won’t forget the good memories my kids and I made as we worked together on a Full House-style TV show opening (yes, you can watch it here), complete with the 90s theme music!
This uncertain time has shown us what we’ve always known to be true: families are the foundation of our society and the bedrock of our lives.
That’s why the American Principles Project works every day to protect children, to empower parents, and to defend the American family in our culture and at the state and federal level.
Sometimes our projects are fun, like making goofy videos with our kids. Sometimes they’re serious, like the “baby bonus” tax policy I shared with you in my last email.
But they’re always focused on protecting and strengthening the American family, work that’s needed now more than ever. Thank you for standing with us, and thank you for your support.
