During last week’s Presidential debate, Donald Trump came out in support of providing free in vitro fertilization (IVF) coverage for all Americans, paid for either by insurance companies or the federal government.
As the saying goes, friend, a broken clock is right twice a day!
Look, we know this is just an attempt to curry favor with voters, particularly women, after Trump’s disastrous administration laid the groundwork for the repeal of Roe v. Wade and the rollback of our reproductive rights. Women can’t rely on the word of Trump to protect this vital treatment.
The best way to actually do that is by passing the Right to IVF Act – legislation that would shield access to this family-creating treatment for every woman in our country. The thing is, Donald Trump’s Republican allies in the Senate have already killed this bill TWICE, and extreme House Republicans refuse to even allow it to come up for a vote!
