This may be corny to say, John, but it’s true.
In the nearly 20 years that I’ve been a professor in Arizona, my students have taught me more than I could ever hope to teach them.
I’ve taught classes on climate change, administrative law, drought policy, and more. In all of them, my students have shown me what it means to believe in a brighter future.
Time and time again, I’ve seen my students tackle tough, complicated issues with determination and creativity. They lean on each other, using team work and humor in the face of existential problems like climate change. They’re unafraid to take on the status quo and confront injustice — because they’re focused on what can be.
Politics can be slow and frustrating. But I’m in this race because I believe, like my students have shown me, that a better future is possible.
We can restore reproductive rights across the country. We can bring good-paying clean energy jobs to our state. We can lower the cost of housing and health care. We can create a drought contingency plan that protects Arizona’s water to generations to come.
Flipping AZ-06 blue will get us one step closer to making an Arizona where we can all thrive.
My opponent stands for extremist policies that will drag us into the past. Will you help me take on him and corporate, out-of-state donors by chipping in now? Every dollar counts in the frontline race.
