Dear Friend,
This week, we are excited to announce some big new funding opportunities for communities using a historic $8 million funding initiative through the Community Resilience Partnership.
Applications are now open for Community Action Grants of up to $75,000 to help communities become resilient to the effects of climate change and to reduce fossil fuel use and carbon emissions.
Additionally, applications are open for Service Provider Grants under two grant tracks:

Track 1: Community Enrollment Service Provider Grants

Track 2: Community Vulnerability Assessment Service Provider Grants
Finally, applications are open for the Energy Efficiency Planning for Rural Communities (EEPRC) program, a special one-time technical assistance offering through the Partnership. The EEPRC program will support up to 20 Maine communities with energy efficiency planning for publicly owned buildings through energy audits, energy benchmarking trainings and support, and energy conservation plans.

The State of Maine is seeking proposals for a qualified consultant to support up to 20 Maine communities with high climate vulnerabilities to assess energy use in their public buildings and develop energy conservation implementation plans.

Calling All Young Artists!
|

|
Climate&Me, our youth-focused climate action initiative, welcomes artwork submissions from Maine youth ages 9-22 to feature in our upcoming update to Maine Won't Wait.
Deadline is October 1st!
|
|
Create work using one of these three themes:
- Climate solutions: including (but not limited to) clean and renewable energy, green schools, clean transportation, and protecting/conserving Maine’s environment. What solution gives you hope? What would you like to see in Maine?
- Resilient Maine: what would your community look like if it were ready and resilient against climate impacts like flooding, drought, or sea-level rise?
- Envisioning Maine’s Climate Future: when you envision an ideal Maine 25 years from now, thriving in the face of climate change, what does that look like to you? What does your future Maine look like?
Selected artists will be included in the updated Maine Won’t Wait climate action plan's printed and online versions and featured on the Maine Won’t Wait website and social media channels. |
