The housing market in Dallas-Fort Worth is shifting toward balance after years of sellers having the upper hand. The swing in North Texas echoes a national trend that seems to favor buyers, despite persistently high mortgage rates.

Home prices have fallen in most North Texas counties from where they were a year ago and inventory was up by double-digit percentages in June, according to an analysis [link removed]'s%20market. by M&D Real Estate. **Our Community's Kids Deserve Better Schools**

Karen Ramos, the deputy director of educational services in Dallas County’s Juvenile Department [link removed], is confident in the teaching provided in the juvenile jail. But previous studies have shown that education in the juvenile justice system is generally lacking in a number of ways.

The Academy for Academic Excellence [link removed] was started in 1999 to provide educational services to all students residing in a Dallas County Juvenile Department institution and transitioning out of residential placement to their home. There are four such campuses in the Dallas County Juvenile Department academy, each of which offer special education classes in addition to an array of other learning opportunities.
